Here Comes the Sun - Original

This painting features Poppies and Blue Dicks. Poppies are among a select group of flowering plants that exhibit a behavior known as “nyctinasty”. This simply means that the flowers close at night and open during the daytime. To capture the image for “Here Comes the Sun”, I literally had to wait until the sun had awakened these poppies from their nighttime slumber!
